The Fenti fix newsletter: June 2025 in review

Fenti’s June in review – a month in the life of a fast-paced marketing agency

Every month Fenti bring you insights from our bustling marketing agency life. We regularly get asked to share our take on interesting industry trends, our latest creative projects, and those ever-evolving digital marketing strategies. We also love to spread a little joy and levity during your coffee break.

This June, between our trip to The Prolific North’s marketing festival in Leeds to peer inside the minds of Marketing thought-leaders, and our usual fast-paced Fenti workflow, it’s been a busy one! So before we drill into the nitty gritty, let’s first take a moment to recap June’s contenders for Fenti bake-off champion!

The Fenti fix newsletter: June 2025 in review - Fenti Marketing

June bake-off roundup

Ben’s surprise caramel cornflake cake

Starting June off with a bang was Ben, our Digital Marketing Executive and general all-round office nice guy! After weeks of proclaiming he was going to fake it with some shop-bought cakes, Ben gave us the biggest surprise yet, instead baking a very genuine show-stopping caramel cornflake cake capped with swirled chocolate topping and Kinder Bueno chunks. Chefs kiss!

Mark (and Elaine)’s sticky toffee treat

Next up was the turn of our Fenti chief, Mark. And we’d all like to say a personal thank you for an exceptional sticky toffee pudding bake, expertly paired with a divine homemade toffee sauce. We’d like to say thanks to Mark, except, sadly, we can’t, because the real baker was in fact his wife, Elaine. And so, being that Elaine is also one of our wonderful Fenti directors, we’re all wondering whether Mark will repay the favour when it’s Elaine’s bake week? Though, honestly, we suspect that this will be classified as ‘their’ joint week. And that seems fair enough!

Peter’s brownie-caramel combo

June’s third bake-off week was a cause of mild anxiety for me. Why? Yep, it had come too soon – my turn at last – Peter, Head of Social and Content. Sporting a fetching pinafore (A.K.A. a very manly man’s apron) I scoured the cupboards for the various and bewildering collection of baking paraphernalia – electric whisks, sieves and the like – and resolutely followed the recipe for chocolate brownie topped with sticky caramel cornflakes. Rest assured, the taste was greater than it sounds – even guests to Fenti HQ asked for the recipe. I’ll take that!

Ruby’s blueberry lemon drizzle

On Monday 23rd June we were treated to a delicious lemon drizzle cake, packed with superfood blueberries and baked to perfection by our new and (and very awesome) Social Media Executive, Ruby. Welcome onboard! And we salute your baking skills! Many of us tiptoed the walk of shame for a second slice, hoping not to be spotted by the rest of the Fenti squad. Even Sarah, our resident foodie fusspot, came out of her shell to devour a slice! Way to go, Sarah! Next stop an exotic curry?! Probably not!

Yasmin’s biscoff and white chocolate rocky road

Closing out the final bake-off week of June was Yasmin, our new Business Development Executive. What a treat, too – Biscoff and white chocolate rocky road. Yes, it was devilishly moreish, but alas, our Fenti bake-off is now concluded, so that wraps up our weekly sweet treats for little while. So who, you ask, is the overall victor? The winner will be announced in next month’s (July) edition of the Fenti Fix. Stay tuned.

What we’ve been working on

Our SEO team got creative with PPC campaigns

Now with all those scrumptious calories floating around our cake-reared physiques, we’ve energy unbound – limitless magical prowess – well, a pretty solid sugar buzz, anyway. So in what directions have we steered our marketing focus this June? In quite a few, actually. Our SEO team dove into a PPC campaign for a grunge and goth-inspired clothing brand, focusing on niche keywords that match their edgy style and strong search intent. This new phase builds on the previous strategy, highlighting their unique and bold styles through paid search ads. At the same time, we’ve been working on a range of other PPC campaigns, introducing new business ideas and advertising options. This ongoing work has been a great challenge, pushing our SEO gurus to A/B test new techniques to boost targeted ad performance. By carefully selecting keywords and tailoring ad copy, we engaged a highly specific audience who appreciates alternative fashion. This particular campaign demonstrates a strategic balance of creativity and data-driven strategies to improve results across a broader range of campaigns.

The artwork team packed the month with big projects

“It’s been a busy few weeks,” smiled Elaine, Fenti’s Creative Director, when asked to reflect on June. And when it comes to fast-paced projects, Elaine is a master of her craft, so you know that’s somewhat of an understatement. But we love us some ‘busy bustle’ around here! That IS agency life, and we live for it – the variety, the excitement. So much of digital marketing hinges on stunning visual assets, that’s why our Artwork team is right at the heart of Fenti, producing impactful designs that convert for our clients. June has seen a new website design for Homefire, a range of new digital assets for Napoleons’ dining promotions, a lifestyle feature brochure for Sky-House to be showcased at their weekend open event. And no, it doesn’t stop there… We’ve also been working on a customer venue refurbishment and relaunch, promo work for Puragen for their upcoming exhibition events, a launch party for Exciting Instruments, and a Sky-House team party at Kelu. Yep, you could say, it’s been quite a month.

Our dev team delivered seamless website builds

Fenti’s Web Dev team have been working on a number of new website builds, with further projects in the pipeline. The websites Fenti design and build are created by listening to our clients, discovering what they want, both in terms of functionality and visual elements. Our web builds and dev projects ultimately culminate in beautiful fully functioning platforms that exceed expectations, in terms of deliverability (for both our clients and theirs) and the all-important UX. Having such talent within our team at Fenti enables us to offer a true full-stack digital marketing service, all under one roof!

The content team tied everything together

There’s always plenty of inter-team crossover projects within Fenti, utilising the various in-house skillsets and expertise, and June continued this tradition. Our Content team serves as the glue, bringing together many marketing disciplines to formulate original and engaging content – like the cherry on top.

June firstly brought about some ad-hoc duties, though – namely, first aid training undertaken by Ashley, our Content Writer extraordinaire. Following plenty of CPR practice, Ash is now qualified to preserve the welfare of the team. Soon after we zipped off to The Prolific North’s marketing festival in Leeds. The seminars were insightful and food for thought. We’ll circle back to this event at a later date – there’s such a lot to unpack and share with you!

One takeaway Ash and the rest of our content team agreed on, though, was that this marketing event helped us explore and reflect on our own processes – and isn’t that the point, after all? Ash shared an interesting comment, saying her “personal mantra for June was to focus on how writing opens the doors to experimentation, and being a writer means opening your mind to fresh perspectives”. That’s gold. So I think we’ll leave it there to percolate.
