After working with A&S Leisure Group for over a decade, the client contacted Fenti with a very exciting new project. The leisure and hospitality operators were investing £5.5 million in a new, state-of-the-art events and conference centre here in Sheffield. The venue would take centre stage between two of their existing venues; Owlerton Stadium and Napoleons Casino & Restaurant.
Launching a new venue is a big project, requiring a full marketing team effort. Fenti brought enthusiasm and passion to the project from day one. Starting from scratch, the OEC Sheffield needed a brand identity in which all marketing activities are rooted. At every touchpoint, including PR and copywriting, website development and SEO, brochure and advertising design, social media, and project management, Fenti delivered a consistent brand which is now widely recognised by its target market throughout the South Yorkshire region.
The team at Fenti were delighted to be part of the OEC Sheffield launch campaign. There’s nothing more rewarding then being able to all work together on every aspect of marketing, from concept to competition, bringing a brand to life and seeing it come to fruition. The Fenti and OEC working partnership continued throughout the 2020 and 2021 lockdowns, keeping the OEC Sheffield brand front of mind. The venue reopened with healthy bookings and glowing customer reviews.
The OEC continues to evolve it’s offering, expanding further into the private hire market, hosting a glittering array of special events from charity galas and sporting dinners. Furthermore, the OEC Sheffield has firmly established itself as a go-to destination for fun-filled nights out and glamorous dinner and dancing events. Weddings and conferences, the venue’s bread and butter, continue to grow in popularity at the OEC Sheffield. This is a venue which ticks all the boxes, unrivalled in its ability to deliver exactly what its clients want.
We asked The OEC’s Venue Director, Matthew Hamilton, for a few words about the project and working with the team here at Fenti, here’s what he had to say.
“We had a vision of what we wanted the OEC Sheffield to become and how we wanted it to be perceived in the marketplace. Taking all our ideas on board, Fenti developed a clever branding concept and logo for us which brought the venue to life. From here, everything cascaded and our identity as a business began to develop. We now have a strong brand identity and a host of marketing assets to really push our product out there and ultimately drive bookings.
We are excited to continue working with Fenti and to see what the future holds, the only way is up from here and we’ve already got lots up our sleeve for next year’s schedule of events at the OEC Sheffield. Without a doubt, Fenti have seamlessly become part of our team and their enthusiasm, knowledge and passion day to day is fantastic. I would certainly recommend working with Fenti to anyone who asked me!”
