This opportunity is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) and is designed to help South Yorkshire SMEs grow, improve productivity, and future-proof their operations.

What’s the Grant for?
The Productivity and Digitisation Grant Scheme, run by Sheffield City Council and regional partners, supports small to medium-sized businesses that want to improve how they operate and grow.
There are two main types of grants available:
• Digital Innovation Grant: Between £2,500 and £5,000
• Productivity Grant: Between £2,500 and £10,000
These grants cover 50% of your project costs, making it the perfect time to invest in tools, tech, or expertise that can push your business to the next level.
Is my business eligible for the grant?
Be a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME)
Be based in Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, or Rotherham
Have been trading for at least 12 months (for grants over £5,000)
Operate from a commercial premises or outfit
Be able to fund the full project upfront (as the grant is paid after project completion)
Complete the project by November 2025 (Funding deadline October 2025)

How to apply
If you’re a Sheffield SME and are interested in applying, the first step is to contact Sheffield Council’s friendly Advisor team. They’ll talk you through all this information, discuss your idea and support you with every step of the process. You can get in touch with them to discuss your project and whether you’re eligible.
